Commercial restaurant cleaning services
for cafes, pubs and function venues
Commercial restaurant cleaning services scheduled around trade, not around our roster
Your reviews are written about the cleaning. Front of house reset before you open, the periodic work your team never gets to, and the overnight turnaround after a function, across the Northern Rivers and the Tweed. Easy to book, fast quoting, cost effective.
Book a visitCommercial restaurant cleaning services cover the premises where people eat, drink and gather: cafes and restaurants, pubs and taprooms, function rooms and event venues. TLB Cleaning does this work across the Northern Rivers and the Tweed, on schedules built around trading hours rather than around ours.
On every other kind of premises, cleaning is maintenance. Here it is the product. A customer who sits at a sticky table or uses a bathroom that has not been done since lunch is not noting a maintenance issue, they are writing a review that costs you the next twenty covers. That changes the useful question from how cheaply a place can be cleaned to how reliably it can be turned around inside the window you actually have.
Two kinds of premises, two different clocks.
Which one is yours?
-

A café, restaurant or bar
Front of house cleaned and reset before you open, floors and bathrooms done daily, and the periodic work that never happens when the team is doing it themselves. Your kitchen is a separate scope with its own rules, and there is a page for it.
Commercial kitchen cleaning -

A function or event venue
The reset after an event and the presentation clean before the next one, done overnight so a Saturday wedding and a Sunday lunch can share the same room. We work to the run sheet you already have rather than asking you to build a new one.

Count how many one-star reviews are about cleaning
Look at the one and two star reviews for any café, pub or restaurant in this region and count how many are about the room rather than the food. It is more of them than anyone expects. Not the menu, not the prices, not the service: a sticky table, a bathroom that had not been done since lunch, crumbs on the banquette, a smell near the bins. Each of those is a fifteen minute failure that sits on your listing for years and gets read by everyone deciding between you and the place across the road.
The economics run the other way to how cleaning usually gets budgeted. Cutting the pre-open reset from forty minutes to twenty saves you a third of an hour of labour and costs you a review, and the review costs more than the year’s savings. Which is why the thing to buy is not the cheapest visit, it is a visit that happens the same way every single time, by somebody who has reset that room before and knows which table the afternoon sun hits.

How TLB compares
In hospitality, consistency is the entire product. The rows below are all really one question: is it the same people, and will they still be here in December.
| Why TLB Cleaning is different | A national brand or app | An independent cleaner | TLB Cleaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who cleans your premises | Whoever is rostered that day | The same person | Your own local team, known by name |
| When someone is away | A different contractor | Rebook for another week | Someone from your team covers, and we let you know first |
| How you book | Online only | Text or a phone call | Online, text, phone or email |
| Reminders | Automated | Usually none | Before the day, and again when we're on our way |
| Your schedule | Whatever slot is available | Whenever they can fit you in | A set day and a set team |
| Commitment | Often a subscription | None | No lock-in, no minimum term, no exit fee |
| Where they live | Wherever the contractor is based | Locally | In the towns they clean in, across the region |

Easy to book, fast quoting, cost effective
Managed for you. Set day, set team, a reminder before, a message on the way, and told first when something changes.
Book a walkthrough online, or send a text, ring us or email, whichever suits. We come and look at the premises rather than pricing it off a form.
Commercial work gets priced on the site, because hours on the ground are what set the number. You get a written scope and a price per visit, so you know what you're paying for. Anything outside that scope is quoted before it happens, not added afterwards.
It's cost effective because a written scope is something you can hold us to. You're buying a defined amount of work, on a set day, from the same team each visit. No lock-in term.
How it works
- Tell us about the job.
- We confirm the price and agree a time and access.
- We do the clean, and you get a message when we're on the way.
- If something needs fixing, you hear it from us first.
Booking a venue clean
1. Can you work around our trading hours rather than a fixed roster?
Yes, and that is how nearly all of this work runs. The daily visit happens before you open or after you close, whichever your trade allows, and it moves when your hours move seasonally. Function and event work is booked to your run sheet rather than to a standing slot. Tell us your trading pattern at the walkthrough and the schedule is built backwards from it.
2. Can you handle peak season?
That depends entirely on how much notice we have. Christmas through January and every long weekend are the constraint for every cleaner in this region, and anyone who says yes without asking how many covers and functions you are carrying is guessing. Tell us your December bookings at the walkthrough and we will tell you honestly what we can hold and what we cannot, before you are relying on it.
3. Do you restock the consumables?
Yes, for the bathrooms and the back of house: toilet paper, hand towel, hand soap and bin liners. What needs agreeing is who buys the stock and how it is billed, so it goes on the scope rather than turning into a monthly conversation about receipts.
4. Will it be the same cleaners each time?
Yes, and here it matters more than almost anywhere. A cleaner who has reset your function room before knows which banquettes mark, where the sun hits and that the second bathroom door sticks. That knowledge is most of the difference between a quick visit and a good one. Our cleaners are employed by TLB rather than subcontracted, they stay, and you meet them.
5. What happens if I get in touch?
We walk the premises with you, including the bathrooms and the back of house, and ask about your trading pattern rather than just your floor area. Then you get a written scope per area, a price per visit, and an honest answer about capacity in December. No obligation.
Restaurant and venue cleaning questions
1. How much does restaurant cleaning cost?
It depends on the size of the room, how many bathrooms there are, how tight the window before opening is and how much periodic work sits alongside the daily visit. That's why we quote rather than publish a flat rate that would be wrong for most venues. Tell us the basics and you'll have a price back quickly, with no obligation attached to it.
2. How often should a restaurant be cleaned?
Daily for the dining room, bathrooms and front of house, because every one of those is judged by a customer on every visit. The periodic work, banquettes and upholstery, carpet extraction, high dusting, external glass, runs quarterly for most venues and more often for anywhere with a heavy lunch trade. Bathrooms are the exception to any frequency argument: in a venue doing two services they need attention between them, not just before opening.
3. What are the cleaning requirements for a café or restaurant in Australia?
Food businesses are required to keep their premises, fixtures, fittings and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition under the Food Standards Code, and local councils inspect against it. That covers floors, walls, benches, equipment and food contact surfaces, and it is your food safety program rather than a cleaning contract that documents how you meet it. Your council is the right source for your own premises. This is general information, not compliance advice.
4. What gets left out of a venue cleaning quote?
Four things, consistently: the bathrooms between services rather than just before opening, the undersides and legs of tables and banquettes, the bin area, and the back of house corridor nobody walks a customer down. All four are invisible on the day and all four are what a review notices within a month.
5. Who cleans a commercial kitchen, the cleaner or the kitchen staff?
Both, and the split should be written down. Kitchen staff clean as they go and close down the line at the end of service, because food contact surfaces and equipment are part of running a kitchen. A cleaning contractor takes the periodic work the brigade cannot do mid-service: floors and drains properly, walls and splashbacks, behind and under equipment, cool room interiors. Exhaust canopy and ductwork cleaning is a separate certified trade again.
6. What is a function room reset?
It is the clean that takes a room from the end of one event to the start of the next: tables cleared and stacked, chairs returned to the standard layout, floors vacuumed or mopped, food and spills off carpet before they set, bathrooms brought back and bins emptied. It is timed rather than thorough by nature, which is why the overnight version is the one worth paying for when a room carries two bookings in a weekend.
